Forbes, the world’s biggest business media brand, and Nuveen, a global leader in impact investing with five decades of experience in responsible investing, are collaborating to launch the second annual Impact 50 list, which recognizes notable investors working to make a difference with their dollars.

The list will be launched in conjunction with the Forbes 400, a ranking of the wealthiest Americans which helps inspire conversations around the importance of investing with impact.

Marty Willis, chief marketing officer of TIAA, the parent company of Nuveen said:

“The pandemic and recent social unrest have brought the need for impact investing – which generates direct and environmental benefits – into sharper focus for more investors.

“As we enter our third year of work with Forbes, it’s imperative to recognize those who not only have achieved attractive returns on their capital, but also those who have invested to create an enduring impact on our world.”

Jessica Sibley, chief revenue officer of Forbes added:

“Forbes is committed to shining a spotlight on those leaders who are strategically investing to drive positive societal and environmental change.

“Our work with Nuveen allows us to continue this critical dialogue, raising awareness of the power of impact investing and compelling other leaders to invest with intent.”
