Florida paper hires O’Neill as a government and criminal justice reporter

Nora O’Neill

Nora O’Neill has joined The Gainesville Sun in Florid as a government and criminal justice reporter.

O’Neill was a political reporter at Fresh Take Florida, the news service of the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications.

There, she covered state politics. Her story about tuition cuts that was published in the Tampa Bay Times and Florida Politics. She was a podcast host and producer at Florida Political Review

She was a news reporter at WUFT News, where she covered various beats, including local and state government, education and features.

O’Neill is pursuing a journalism degree from the University of Florida, where she worked at the student paper, The Independent Florida Alligator.
