Florida daily hires Szymanowska to cover criminal justice, courts and the legal system

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune, a daily newspaper in Sarasota, Florida has tapped Gabriela Szymanowska to cover criminal justice, courts and the legal system as a Report for America corps member.

Szymanowska has worked as a freelance communications specialist at Catalyst Collective Co. She was previously a public safety and breaking news reporter at The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Miss. and a reporter for News21 in Phoenix, Ariz.

She was also a general assignment reporter at the Knoxville News Sentinel in Tennessee.

Szymanowska graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
