The Washington Post has hired Ashley Fetters as a general assignment reporter in Features.
Her new role begins Oct. 19.
Previously, Fetters was a staff writer, family section at the Atlantic. Her work has also appeared regularly in the New York Times and the Washington Post, where she used to review concerts for Style.
She has also worked at GQ Magazine as a digital entertainment editor and was a news editor at Entertainment Weekly. Before that, she was with the Atlantic for almost 2 years, joining as an editorial fellow and then holding the post of associate editor.
Earlier, she interned at Entertainment Weekly and Rochester Weekly and was a bilingual paraprofessional at Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc.
Fetters is a B.S. in journalism and Spanish from Northwestern University.
