Ferraro named exec editor for public service journalism at Lee Enterprises

John Ferraro

Lee Enterprises has tapped John Ferraro to serve as executive editor for public service journalism at Lee Enterprises. Recently, he was group managing editor at Hearst Connecticut Media Group.

Ferraro supervised the investigative desk for The Hartford Courant and courant.com and oversaw local news sites in Connecticut for Patch.com.

He was also part of the part-time faculty at Quinnipiac University and was the editor of the Hartford Business Journal.

Previously, he worked at The Hartford Courant from March 1999 to March 2009.

Ferraro has a B.S. in journalism from Southern Connecticut State University.
