Antonia Noori Farzan will join The Washington Post foreign desk as a staff writer focusing on breaking news, explainers and other stories, delivering on what readers need to know about stories unfolding globally.
Her new role begins March 1.
Farzan joined The Post in 2018 as a reporter on Morning Mix. She has also worked with foreign desk editors as the principal overnight writer on the pandemic beat. Apart from this, she has also written quirky and occasionally uplifting stories that make for fun reads.
Farzan started her career with alternative weeklies, first in Rhode Island and then at the New Times in Miami and Phoenix.
Farzan is a graduate of Hamilton College, with a B.A. in Classics, and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
