Ed Walker and Luke Beardsworth have teamed to launch a new audience development consultancy, Alma, based in Lancashire.
Walker left Reach plc in July 2023 after six years as a digital editor, senior editor, regional audience and content director, as well as interim audience and content director. He also worked at Trinity Mirror.
Beardsworth departed Reach in June 2023 after nine years as an online content writer for Birmingham Mail, social media editor and publisher/editor.
Regarding their new venture, Walker said:
“We’re interested in working with businesses who are working with and creating digital content and looking to either get going with a new project or need help accelerating an existing one.
“There’s some really interesting conversations we’ve been having on a number of projects and hope to be able to say more on those in the weeks and months ahead.”
Beardsworth added:
“Through Alma, we will able to work with clients across the UK in a variety of sectors – helping them to better understand, grow, and engage with their audiences. Our varied range of skills and experience complement each other, providing a stronger offer.”
