ESPN’s Penna laid off

Peter Della Penna

Peter Della Penna, a multimedia cricket editor at ESPN wrote on Twitter:

“Heads up everyone. A bit of personal/work news: Friday June 30 was my last day as part of the @ESPNcricinfo team as USA correspondent after I was part of the Disney/ESPN-wide budget cuts/layoffs, by way of my expiring contract not being renewed.”

Penna had been with ESPN for more than 12 years. Previously, he freelanced for and served as a US correspondent at Cricinfo.

Penna graduated from Creighton University in Nebraska.
