ESPN has tapped Xuan Thai to serve as a senior writer and producer and Sara Coello as a writer.
Thai served as deputy bureau chief for the Southern region, where she managed a team of correspondents, producers, and assignment editors for all platforms of NBC News. Before that, she was a producer for NBC News, based in the Miami bureau.
She was also a political show producer at MSNBC, and at CNN held the posts of White House producer, congressional producer and off-air reporter. She covered business news from a regulatory perspective for CNBC.
Thai has a B.S. from the University of Florida and a J.D. from George Mason University – Antonin Scalia Law School.
Previously, Coello was an investigative reporter at The Charlotte Observer. She worked as a breaking news reporter at both The Post and Courier in Charleston, S.C. and The Dallas Morning News.
Coello has a B.A. from the University of Dallas.
