Emma Patti Harris will be joining The Baltimore Banner as director of visual and immersive experience, leading visual, digital and audience strategy.
She begins on April 18.
She joins from Education Week, where she has worked as an assistant managing editor for visuals, and recently, as deputy managing editor.
She has also worked as a digital products manager, senior visuals content editor for video and director of content at The Baltimore Sun. She was also a web designer at the Baltimore Magazine and has taught at the University of Maryland, Towson University and Georgetown University.
She was also an assistant photography editor at the Washingtonian Magazine.
Harris has a B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Media and Journalism.
