Evan Easterling will move to The New York Times Flex desk later this month.
Easterling joins from the Sports desk, where he covered the pandemic and politics briefings in 2020. He also edited sports articles as well as coverage of various events, including the Super Bowl and N.B.A. finals, and helmed the paper’s night report.
He joined the Times in 2019 as a Dow Jones News Fund intern on the News Print Hub.

He has also worked at The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Easterling has a B.A. in journalism from Temple University.
