National Geographic Traveller UK has tapped Amelia Duggan to serve as managing editor of APL Media.
In her new role, Duggan will “work closely with the editorial director to steer the development of the editorial team and maintain standards across APL Media’s growing portfolio of publications and events, which include National Geographic Traveller (UK), Food by National Geographic Traveller and the National Geographic Traveller Food Festival.”
Recently, she served as deputy editor of National Geographic Traveler. She worked freelance for The Times, The Telegraph and the Evening Standard.
She interned at Condé Nast Publications and Archant.
She was nominated for over a dozen industry awards and was the winner of the “Specialist Travel Writer of the Year 2019” for work on Latin America.
Duggan has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Leeds and a master’s degree from King’s College London.
