Downie departs Washington Post for MSNBC

James Downie

James Downie, digital opinions editor at The Washington Post, has left after 11 years to write and edit for MSNBC Daily.

Downie tweets:

“It’s been an honor and a dream come true to work for my hometown paper. And it was a true pleasure to work with so many wonderful colleagues.”

Previously, he worked for The New Republic and Foreign Policy magazine.

Downie graduated from Columbia University.
