Dow has been selected as a finalist for the business transformation and circular innovation categories at the Reuters Events Sustainable Business Inaugural Responsible Business Awards 2020.
The awards encompassed 13 categories, including UN Sustainable Development Goal impact, diversity and inclusion, business transformation, circular innovation and clean energy transition.
Diego Donoso, Dow president of Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics, said:
“Dow’s ambition is to become the most sustainable materials science company in the world and earlier this year we announced new sustainability targets to “Protect the Climate” “Stop the Waste” and “Close the Loop.
“It is an honor to be recognized by Reuters Events Responsible Business for this work, and we will continue to do our part to improve recycling and waste management technology, drive the circular economy and unlock the value of materials for reuse to create a more sustainable future together.”
Through technology, innovation and global partnerships, Dow is making a measurable impact and building a sustainable system to advance a circular economy globally.
“Reuters Events Responsible Business over its years has made a major contribution in advancing the cause of more responsible and sustainable business models. It provides a unique, refreshing perspective and insights for the responsible business leaders,” added Paul Polman, former CEO, Unilever.
