Waldy Diez will join The Virginian-Pilot and the Daily Press as a digital producer. In her new role, she will be part of the audience team, connecting readers with the outlet’s social media, newsletters and more.
Diez begins on Feb. 13.
Previously at Gannett | USA Today Network, Diez worked across formats with a dozen newspapers in the New England region on news coverage, social media reporting and more. She was also a video content coordinator at USA Today.
She reported for The Press of Atlantic City and was a news producer at WBNG-TV Ch. 12, a CBS and CW+ affiliate in Binghamton, N.Y.
Diez has a bachelor’s degree from Rowan University in New Jersey and a master’s degree from Syracuse University.
