The Detroit Free Press has also tapped veteran Free Press journalist James G. Hill as executive editor. Hill has been with the paper for 22 years.
Hill has held various roles, including City Hall reporter, assistant metro editor, associate metro editor, deputy metro editor, and recently, senior news director. He has also served as deputy political writer and a Sunday editor at the Chicago Tribune.
Additionally, Hill has interned at Newsweek, The New York Times and The Detroit News.
Hill is a Wayne State University graduate.
