Chris Gothner, reporter/anchor at KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa has left after 4 years. The death of his father, who suffered a heart attack on a cruise in October 2021, prompted his move.
However, he hopes to return to broadcast journalism.
Previously, he was a reporter/anchor for WISC-TV in Madison, Wisconsin and held the same post and was a producer at KOMU-TV in Columbia. He has also reporter for KBIA 91.3 FM, Mid-Missouri’s NPR member station.
Gothner graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
