Des Moines Register reporter Smith departs

Kennington Lloyd Smith

Kennington Lloyd Smith, Iowa Hawkeyes beat reporter at the Des Moines Register will leave. His tweet reads:

“After two years at the Des Moines Register, the next week and a half will be my last.

“My time in Iowa’s been dope, I have a lot of people to thank and memories to re-live and we’ll do that on this week’s radio show but for now all I’ll say is thank you.”

Smith also reported for the Anderson Independent Mail and The Greenville News, both part of the USA Today Network.

He contributed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and interned at Sports Illustrated and Bloomberg.

Smith has a B.A. from the University of Georgia.
