The Canadian Press has appointed Colette Derworiz as news correspondent. She begins on Mar. 14. Recently, she has been working as an acting Prairies news editor.
Before that, she was a reporter/editor at the Canadian Press. She has also worked freelance. Derworiz was also a staff reporter, assistant city editor, and senior staff reporter – environment at the Calgary Herald.
She was also a weekend reporter at Regina Leader-Post in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Derworiz graduated from the University of Regina with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
