Axel Springer today announced that Mark Dekan has been appointed to the newly created role of COO of POLITICO Media Group starting on 1 September 2022. Mark Dekan will report directly to POLITICO Media Group CEO Goli Sheikholeslami and work closely with the team to further drive the Group’s ambitious growth plans.
Mark Dekan currently serves as CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Polska, a joint venture between Axel Springer and the Swiss media company Ringier.
In 2013, Mark Dekan was appointed CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG, one of the most successful companies in Central and Eastern Europe, with strong news brands and successful digital classifieds. One year later he also took the role of CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Polska
