Deen joins The Messenger as data visualization reporter

Anna Deen

The Messenger has tapped Anna Deen to serve as a data visualization reporter. Recently, she held the same post at Grid, where she pitched and reported data-driven stories.

Deen freelanced for Grid, Outside Magazine, Grist, Carolina Public Press, City Limits, and Eater NY. She interned at The Washington Monthly, Carolina Public Press, Grist and the U.S. Department of State.

Deen has a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and a M.A. in journalism from Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
