Ben Dennis, a news reporter at DC News Now, will anchor evening newscasts on Saturdays and Sunday. His tweet reads:
“I’m elated, and ready to continue working hard for you, and our neighbors in this new role. During weekday newscasts, I will continue working in my role as consumer reporter—including data-driven stories to ‘stretch your dollar,’ profiling consumer concerns and getting answers. See you next weekend at 6 and 9 pm on WDVM, and 10pm on DCW50. Let’s get to the news.”
Previously, he was a news reporter at WRIC-TV Ch. 8, an ABC affiliate in Petersburg, Va.
He was also a news reporter at three Utica, N.Y. TV stations: WFXV-TV Ch. 33, a Fox affiliate; ABC station WUTR-TV Ch. 20; and MyNetworkTV-affiliate WPNY-LD.
Dennis is a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award-winning team member for “Overall Excellence,” and a Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters winner for reporting.
Dennis graduated from Penn State University.
