Katie Davies has joined The Times and Sunday Times as an editor to oversee “oversee the expansion of the editorial team and the current roster of award-winning Times and Sunday Times journalists in the U.S.”
Davies will be based in News Corp’s head office in New York.
Commenting on her new role, she said:
“I am delighted to join The Times & Sunday Times at a time when they are increasingly ambitious about overseas expansion, particularly in the US. I look forward to working with some of the finest journalists and editors in the English language.”
Recently, she was at The Independent, where she oversaw the editorial team who covered a range of subjects from politics to lifestyle. Before that, she worked as a senior editor at MailOnline in New York for seven years.
