Mel Fronczek has joined the Dallas Morning News as a graphics reporter. Previously, she was a digital producer at USA Today, where she also interned.
Fronczek also received training and mentoring via the ProPublica/OpenNews/Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting Data Institute, New York Times Student Journalism Institute and the Dow Jones News Fund.
She interned at Indiana-based NPR member station WFIU-FM 103.7 and the South Bend Tribune.
Fronczek has a B.A. in journalism from Indiana University Bloomington, where she reported and edited for the student paper, the Indiana Daily Student.
