Janel Forte has joined Dallas ABC station WFAA-TV Ch. 8 as a reporter. Recently, she was a correspondent at NewsNation, where she launched its Atlanta bureau.
Previously, Forte reported for CBS station KHOU-TV Ch. 11 in Houston, and was an anchor and reporter at WLOX-TV Ch. 13, an ABC and CBS affiliate in Biloxi, Miss.
She covered transportation, housing, urban affairs and politics for Medill News Service, with her bylines appearing in USAToday.com and the Christian Science Monitor. She also worked for CBS outlet WKBN-TV Ch. 27 in Youngstown, Ohio.
She interned at Fox News Channel.
Forte has a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.S. from Northwestern University.
