Daily Mail appoints Tomes as commissioning editor

Hannah Tomes is now a features commissioning editor at the Daily Mail. Previously, she was news sub-editor.

Prior to that, she was a freelance blogger at HuffPost and has also worked at the Yorkshire Post and the Press Association. She was also a contributing writer at CityMetric. She was also a student writer at The Telegraph.

Tomes has also worked as a freelance contributor at Guardian News and Media and was an arts editor at The Gryphon newspaper. She was also a production designer at TED Conferences.

Tomes is a B.A. in English and history of art from the University of Leeds and a M.A. in journalism from the University of Sheffield.
