Daily Beast hires Schager as entertainment critic

Nick Schager

Nick Schager has joined The Daily Beast as an entertainment critic, writing reviews, features, and interview and Q&A pieces about film, television, music and pop culture. Recently, Schager was a TV critic at Entertainment Weekly.

He has also worked as a film critic at Variety and has contributed to the Rolling Stone Magazine, New York Magazine’s The Vulture, and The Atlantic. He was also a critic and entertainment writer at Esquire Magazine and has written for Yahoo Movies.

Schager earned a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Johns Hopkins University and a M.S. in magazine concentration from Columbia University – Graduate School of Journalism.
