Cruz to join NPR’s Atlanta station as criminal justice reporter

Chamian Cruz

WABE-FM 90.1, Atlanta’s NPR station, has hired Chamian Cruz as a criminal justice reporter. Cruz was a government/courts reporter at Appen Media Group in Georgia.

She reported for The Northeast Georgian and was the lead police and courts reporter at the Gwinnett Daily Post in Gwinnett County, Ga., where she covered breaking news and produced at least three general news stories daily for print and online.

Cruz has a B.S. in journalism from Appalachian State University.
