Crilly departs Washington Examiner for Daily Mail

Rob Crilly

Rob Crilly will be joining the Daily Mail as a senior political reporter. He comes from the Washington Examiner where he held the post of White House correspondent.

He has also worked freelance with his work appearing in The Telegraph, The Irish Times, The Scotsman and The New Statesman. During his freelance stint, he also served as overnight foreign editor for The Telegraph’s website.

Crilly has also held the posts of Pakistan correspondent, and Afghanistan and Pakistan correspondent, writing for The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.

He was also an East Africa correspondent at The Times for more than 3 years. Crilly also held the same post in a freelance capacity for The Daily Mail, The Irish Times, The Scotsman, USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, The News of the World, The Sunday Times and many more.

He was also Edinburgh bureau chief at The Herald.

Crilly is a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
