Crosstown move: Cotter departs Herald for Boston Globe

Sean Philip Cotter

Sean Philip Cotter, a city hall reporter/editor at the Boston Herald, will leave to join The Boston Globe to cover the city’s police department.

Previously, Cotter was a Quincy city reporter at The Patriot Ledger in Quincy, Mass.

He also worked as a digital editor, crime reporter and city reporter at The York Dispatch.

Cotter graduated from Syracuse University, where he was a staff writer and beat writer at The Daily Orange, the student paper.
