Condé Nast has appointed Yashica Olden as its first global chief diversity and inclusion officer, a role in which she will be responsible for developing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies across the company’s portfolio of brands and divisions.
Her new role begins Oct. 26.
“I’m excited to join the team and work with the incredibly talented editors, writers, designers and marketers to embed a global diversity and inclusion framework into every aspect of the business,” Olden stated.
Most recently, Olden was global executive director, inclusion and diversity at WPP. She has also worked as global executive director, diversity and inclusion for Ogilvy. She was also an interim global inclusion lead at Aviva and served as a senior advisor, diversity and inclusion, at World Food Programme.
Olden has also served as global head of diversity and inclusion at Sandoz and was EMEA head, diversity and inclusion, at Barclays Capital. She was also vice president, diversity and inclusion, at Credit Suisse.
Additionally, she has held the posts of director and senior research analyst at SEO London and Gartner Group, respectively.
Olden is a graduate of Wellesley College.
