Olivia Sklenka, a news reporter at the Columbia Missourian, has taken over the role of state government reporter. The Missourian is a community news organization managed by professional editors and staffed by Missouri School of Journalism students.
Previously, Sklenka was a reporter based in London for Index on Censorship, Britain’s leading organization promoting freedom of expression. There, she focused on reporting political events and international affairs promptly.
Sklenka is due to graduate in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
