Chandelis R. Duster, a breaking news reporter at CNN Politics has taken on the role of race and equality reporter.
Duster has covered several beats at the network, including agriculture, justice, Congress, White House and campaigns.
Prior to joining CNN, Duster worked at NBC News in various roles, including news desk assistant, interim managing editor for NBCBLK, associate producer and reporter. Previously, she also assisted Politico Journalism Institute students with writing stories during the week-long intensive program.
She has also worked at Cox Media Group.
Duster has a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s degree from American University.
