CNN has tapped Tim Carter to serve as executive producer of “CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta” in North America. He will remain based in Washington, D.C.
The program airs Saturdays, 4-8 p.m. ET, and Sundays, 5-8 p.m. ET. Recently, Carter was a supervising producer for “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” Before that, he worked as a senior producer.
He has been with the network for more than eight years. He has also held the posts of line producer for “Morning Joe” and senior producer at MSNBC.
Carter has a B.S. from Florida State University.
