Julia Benbrook has joined CNN Newsource as a correspondent in Washington, D.C.
Recently, Benbrook was a Washington correspondent at Spectrum, where she covered campaigns, the White House and Congress. She has also reported for The Hill and was a news reporter at KOTV-TV Ch. 6, a CBS affiliate in Tulsa.
She was also named a NextGen Under 30 award winner for the state and nominated for a Heartland Emmy in the interview/discussion category.
She was also honored with the Deborah Orin Scholarship in 2021 by the White House Correspondents’ Association.
Her reporting has also appeared in USA Today and Inside Climate News.
Benbrook has a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
