CNN has named Kasie Hunt anchor of “State of the Race,” a daily 60-minute show that will look at the status, breaking news and conversations surrounding the presidential election.
Recently, Hunt was a national and breaking news journalist. Previously, she was at MSNBC, where she was host of “Way Too Early” and “Kasie DC.” She also worked as a political correspondent at the network.
She also served as a Capitol Hill correspondent and before that, as a political reporter at NBC News. She was also a political reporter at The Associated Press and Politico, and reported for the National Journal.
Hunt has a B.A. from George Washington University and an MPhil. from the University of Cambridge.
