Bianca Clendenin, a digital storyteller and social media strategist has joined The New York Times as its Instagram video editor.
In this role, she will help shape the strategy and development of the newspaper’s overall video storytelling on the platform.
Previously, Clendenin was an audience engagement editor at City Limits, managing content across all digital platforms, optimizing the website for search-engines and operating City Limits’ social media channels to promote content, engage readers and build audiences, among other tasks.
She has also previously worked at NowThis for more than 4 years, joining as a social publisher. Later on, she held the post of showrunner before being promoted to the post of supervising producer.
She has also worked as a headline writer, social media at Al Jazeera America and was a production intern at illa Films.
Earlier, she interned at MSNBC and was a broadcast editor at The Purchase Brick. She was also a web content editor at KIPP NYC.
Clendenin has a Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism and related programs from SUNY Purchase.
