Cleave takes on new role at CBS News

Kris Van Cleave

CBS News has promoted Kris Van Cleave to senior transportation and national correspondent. Recently, he served as a national correspondent.

In more than eight years at CBS News, he held the posts of correspondent, transportation correspondent and congressional correspondent.

He reported for WJLA-TV Ch. 7, an ABC affiliate in Washington, D.C. and was a military beat reporter at KOAA News.

A 12-time Emmy award-winning journalist, Cleave has a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California.
