City & State reporter Destra departs

Shantel Destra

Shantel Destra, a state politics reporter at City & State New York has left. She wrote on Twitter:

“I am SO grateful to have worked with such a dedicated and remarkable team. THANK YOU for your endless support. I will miss you all dearly. I’m excited for what’s to come. (More to come soon).”

Destra has interned at The City and City & State and was a fellow at Politico’s Journalism Institute. She also wrote at iHeartMedia.

Destra has a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
