Xandra McMahon, a lead producer for City Cast Philly at City Cast, a network of daily local news podcasts, has left. Her tweet reads:
“Something I’ve realized in recent months is that I *desperately* need a break from journalism. So that’s what I’m doing!
“But man was it hard to say goodbye to all the wonderful people I’ve worked with for the past 2 years at City Cast. They’re building something really special over there and I’m excited to watch it continue to grow.”
McMahon joined City Cast in May 2021 as an audio producer for City Cast Denver. Before that, she was a “Colorado Matters” producer at Colorado Public Radio, where she joined as a fellow in 2017.
She interned at KUSA-TV Ch. 9, an NBC-affiliate in Denver, Colo.
McMahon graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder.
