Cincinnati TV station names Jacobs anchor and reporter

WLWT and Hearst Television announced today that Chris Jacobs is joining WLWT News 5 as an Anchor and Reporter. Beginning May 1st, Jacobs can be seen co-anchoring WLWT News 5 with Ashley Kirklen weeknights at 7p.m. and on WLWT News 5 at 10p.m. on MeTV Cincinnati.

“I’m incredibly excited to join WLWT News 5, a station with immense talent and true journalists,” said Jacobs. “Working with the team and exploring the city are at the top of my priority list. I’m looking forward to calling beautiful Cincinnati and WLWT News 5 home,” Jacobs added.

Before WLWT, Jacobs previously served as Evening Anchor for KGBT, the CBS affiliate in Harlingen, TX, after getting his start in Victoria, TX. Jacobs graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in communications.
