Cincinnati ABC station WCPO has hired a meteorologist who might be familiar to local viewers and has promoted its weather forecaster and traffic reporter.
Former WLWT meteorologist Cameron Hardin will join the station’s Noon newscast on February 23 and the weekend morning newscasts beginning February 25.
WCPO also promoted Raven Richard to full-time traffic reporting on weekdays. She will cover for weather forecasting on weekdays as-needed.
“We are pleased to welcome Cameron to the WCPO 9 family,” said Barry Fulmer, news director at WCPO. “He is a talented meteorologist who is working in a city he and his family call home.”
Hardin worked at the Cincinnati NBC affiliate for three years before leaving last year. He’s also worked at WLFI in West Lafayette, Ind., and was a freelance meteorologist for WEWS in Cleveland before that.
“I am super excited to be back on the air in Cincinnati,” said Hardin. “Weekend mornings are my favorite, and the fact that I get to start my morning with viewers is going to be so much fun.”
Richard has worked at WCPO since 2019. She has been splitting her time between different roles as traffic reporter and weather forecaster on weekends and weekdays.
“I’m happy to be joining the team and helping get the tri-state up and out the door each morning,” said Richard.
