Chronicle of Higher Education taps Bellows as staff reporter

Kate Hidalgo Bellows, a reporting fellow at The Chronicle of Higher Education, will be joining the team full-time as a staff reporter after her fellowship ends. In her new role, she will cover Title IX and student safety. She will also lead the Daily Briefing newsletter.

Previously, Bellows was a workforce and livability reporter at The Island Packet in Bluffton, South Carolina. She was also an intern at The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Area and was a Student Journalism Institute copy editor at The New York Times.

Bellows has a B.A. from the University of Virginia, where she also worked at the student paper. The Cavalier Daily.
