Chicago Tribune hires Charles as police reporter

Sam Charles

Sam Charles has joined the Chicago Tribune as a reporter to cover the Chicago police department and other criminal justice topics.

Recently, Charles was an investigative producer at Nexstar-owned WGN-TV Ch.9, in Chicago. Before that, he reported for eight years at the Tribune.

Charles has a B.A. in journalism from Columbia College Chicago.
