Violet Miller, a freelance city desk reporter at the Chicago Sun-Times will join the newsroom as a general assignment reporter.
Previously, Miller worked as a breaking news correspondent at the Daily Herald Media Group in Illinois. She also interned at the Chicago Sun-Times.
In addition, she held the posts of news and arts writer, assistant arts and entertainment editor, photography editor and co-managing editor at Loyola University Chicago’s student newspaper The Phoenix. She graduated the school with a B.A. in multimedia journalism.
