After three years of immense success, Chicago Public Media CEO Matt Moog has announced his resignation. He also served on the board of Chicago Public Media. He said:
“I am passionate about the importance of local journalism and our role in fostering a healthy democracy and vibrant communities. It is imperative to me that after I leave, CPM is as strong as ever and positioned for continued success and future growth.
“I plan to return to my roots as a technology entrepreneur. I feel a sense of great gratitude to the board, staff, and supporters who seized the opportunity to combine two great news organizations in a bold effort to serve the greater Chicago community with independent local journalism.”
Moog is chairman and founder of Built In, a platform for tech professionals globally. He also founded FireStarter Fund, a Chicago-focused investment fund.
Moog graduated from the George Washington University.
