Nonprofit news outlet The City has hired Xian Chiang-Waren on its audience team as a newsletter writer.
Recently, Chiang-Waren served as a senior editor, newsletters at theSkimm. Before that, she was a senior associate editor at the National Audubon Society, a nonprofit organization.
She was a culture editor at Outside Magazine and was an editorial fellow at both Grist and Mother Jones.
Chiang-Waren has a B.A. from Middlebury College and a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
