CNN International has hired Eric Cheung as a Hong Kong-based news desk producer covering breaking news across the Asia-Pacific region.
Cheung previously worked freelance for CNN and has also contributed to CNN.com.
He has also worked freelance for South China Morning Post, Rest of World, EcigIntelligence, SBS World, The Telegraph, Freestate Productions (Singapore), Al Jazeera English, Sky News, Reuters, and The Guardian.
He has also interned at ABC News, Reuters and Hong Kong Free Press.
Cheung is a bachelor of journalism from the University of Hong Kong.
