Chason appointed West Africa bureau chief at the Washington Post

The Washington Post has named Rachel Chason West Africa bureau chief, based in Dakar, Senegal. She will cover Nigeria, reporting across various topics, including climate change.

Chason joined the Post in 2017 as an intern. Additionally, she has interned for the Raleigh News and Observer, CNN Politics, USA Today and The Atlantic.

Chason holds a B.A. in political science from Duke University.
