Chapin upped to SVP of news and EIC at NPR

NPR has named Edith Chapin senior vice president of news and editor-in-chief. Recently, she served as interim SVP of news and editorial director. She has been with NPR for 11 years, previously serving as chief international editor and VP and executive editor.

Chapin worked at CNN for 25 years, where she held the posts of national assignment editor, senior assignment editor New York, field producer, assignment manager, deputy bureau chief and managing editor New York, Midwest regional bureau chief, New York bureau chief, and VP and deputy bureau chief.

Chapin graduated from Northwestern University.
